COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personal information, or personal data, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).
The Equity Power Fund (EPF) collects, uses, stores and transfers different kinds of personally identifiable information which can be grouped together follows:
- Identity Data includes first name, last name, username or similar identifier, marital status, title, date of birth and gender.
- Contact Data includes home or work address, email address and telephone numbers.
- Financial Data includes bank account details.
- Technical Data includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this website.
- Profile Data includes your username and password, your interests, preferences and favorites.
- Usage Data includes information about how you use our website, services.
- Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from the EPF and your communication preferences.
EPF also collects anonymous information, which is not unique to you and does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity.
EPF does not intentionally collect any particularly sensitive categories of personal information about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data).
EPF encourages you to review the privacy statements of Web sites you choose to link to EPF so that you can understand how those Web sites collect, use and share your information. EPF is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on Web sites outside of the EPF and EPF related of Web sites.
USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Purpose for which EPF will use your personal information
EPF collects and uses your personal information to operate the EPF Web site. EPF also uses your personally identifiable information to inform you of products or services available from EPF and its affiliates. EPF may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.
Your personal information may also be processed for compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations of EPF or internal policy requirements and the order of a competent court, as well as (but not limited to) accounting, commercial communications, know-your-customer and anti-money laundering requirements, general management of the services or customer relationship purposes. Your personal information will be processed for the duration of the performance of the purposes described in the Statement of Privacy.
Change of purpose
EPF will only use your personal information for the purposes for which EPF collected it, unless EPF reasonably consider that it needs to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. If you wish to get an explanation as to how the processing for the new purpose is compatible with the original purpose, please contact your Alter Domus’ contact point.
If EPF need to use your personal information for an unrelated purpose, EPF will notify you and will explain the legal basis which allows EPF to do so.
Please note that EPF may process your personal information without your knowledge or consent, in compliance with the above rules, where this is required or permitted by law.
Transfer and disclosure of personal data
EPF does not sell, rent or lease personal data collected from the Website to third parties. External business partners may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of EPF about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is transferred to the third party. In addition, EPF where necessary, may share data with trusted partners to help EPF perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to Alter Domus, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
EPF does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your explicit consent.
EPF Web sites will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or if such action is reasonably necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on EP For the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Alter Domus; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Alter Domus, or the public.
As provided for under the applicable data protection laws and regulations, you are entitled to request access, correct or erase your personal data or restrict the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority, being in Luxembourg the Commission nationale pour la protection des données.
EPF will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes EPF collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
The EPF Web site use “cookies” to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.
One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the Web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize EPF pages, or register with EPF site or services, a cookie helps EPF to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When you return to the same EPF Web site, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the EPF features that you customized.

If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the EPF services or Web sites you visit.
SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
EPF undertakes to process your personal information only for the defined purposes and to implement appropriate technical measures to protect and to keep it confidential. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any third party within or outside the European Union (including in countries that do not offer an adequate level of protection), other than other EPF entities and/or third parties directly concerned by the defined purposes.
EPF secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. EPF secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.
In addition, EPF limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who require such information in order to fulfil a purpose. They will only process your personal information on Alter Domus’ instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
EPF has put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach or suspected breach where EPF is legally required to do so.

EPF will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect company and users’ feedback. EPF encourages you to periodically review this Statement of Privacy to be informed of how EPF is protecting your information.
